ReplyDeleteI turned 16 right after my boyfriend passed away, and I'll always remember how my friends really went out of their way to make me feel loved and special. Surprises at school AND after school. I had my first good day in months, and it was a GREAT day! I'll never forget what they did for me!

ReplyDeletehmm.. ok (for the entry) my favorite birthday memory is when i had a 50's party when I was in the 5th grade. My sister dressed up as "Wendell Presley" (a.k.a Elvis's fake brother) and we hoola hooped in the street until midnight. Good times.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday memory is of my golden birthday (23). We had just moved to Baton Rouge and my husband surprised me by taking me on an alligator tour. I will never forget that experience.

ReplyDeleteMr. E. surprised me with a picnic at my parent's lake the year we were dating. He planned a great dinner, brought a quilt, and a boom box (remember those?) so we could dance to "our" song!

ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday memory is when my mom rented out a pool at a hotel so I could have a swim party, because I was always so jealous of kids with summer birthdays who could have a pool party. (mine happens to be in January)

ReplyDeleteFor my 22nd birthday we went to Schlitterbahn! It was so much fun. There were clouds/sprinkles in the morning so the park wasn't crowded at all... and then came home and had Cheesecake Factory!

ReplyDeleteWhat a great giveaway! My favorite birthday memory is from my most recent 30th birthday with some of my friends and family in Vegas. It was a few days full of fun, sun, friends and family!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday memory would probably have to be from this past birthday when one of my students got up in front of the entire school at an assembly and led them in singing Happy Birthday to me. He was a kid that I would never have expected to take the microphone and do it with such confidence. It was a wonderful moment :)

ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday memory was one year my husband surprised me and baked me a cake. That is very out of character for him and i thought it was the sweetest thing!
ReplyDeleteMy favorite birthday memory has to be from my fourth birthday. My family was living in Idaho at the time and it was snowing that day. My parents took me to see Cinderella and then to McDonalds afterwards. I remember thinking i was the luckiest princess ever! :)

ReplyDeleteWhen I was a junior in high school there was a track meet on my birthday. Both relay teams I was on placed first, and I also won two other events (not typically what happened, I was usually 2nd or 3rd in most races, although the relay teams I was on were consistent winners!) Good times, thanks for reminding me of that with this question!

ReplyDeleteOne year there was a blizzard on my bday. My friends all couldn't come to my place because of it, so my husband & I trudged through knee deep snow into town to go to the wine bar & hang out. It was actually really really fun!
ReplyDeletemy favorite birthday memory, was one year when my husband surprised me with a birthday day 4 months after my actual birthday. he took the day off work, made me a birthday b-fast, gifted me with some snazzy converse, then took our family to yosemite for hiking and a picnic. hands down the best b-day ever!

ReplyDeleteOne of my most memorable birthdays was when I was like 6 and I stuck a flower up my nose (not sure how). I had to be taken to the hospital while my family stayed and enjoyed my birthday party. Kinda crazy. :)
ReplyDeletemy fave birthday memory is probably when i turned 21 or 22. my brother and my bday are one day apart so we always celebrated together. we had one party at our dad's and then another day w/our mom and she sang so loud and we had MORE cake lol.
ReplyDeleteI was living in Connecticut last year(I'm from Ohio) and missed my family so much! I was bummed about not seeing them on my birthday, but every one there made sure it was a good time and took me to see the ocean :)

ReplyDeleteMy hubs took me to Austin for my 30th and it was so nice to get away as husband and wife instead of mommy and daddy. We had an 18 month old and an 8 week old at the time. I NEEDED the break. :)
